ATLAND deploys its diversification strategy in the healthcare sector with a first acquisition in Spain.

ATLAND continues to roll out its strategy presented in March 2024 with the first acquisitions of assets in the healthcare sector. Made on behalf of the SCPI Épargne Pierre Europe managed by its subsidiary ATLAND Voisin, the acquisition concerns the premises of two facilities located in Greater Madrid. These centers, specialized in the psychosocial rehabilitation of individuals suffering from severe mental disorders, are undergoing expansion projects to increase their capacity to 40 and 49 beds respectively.

These assets are operated by Grupo 5, the Spanish subsidiary of the Clariane group, under a firm 15-year lease. Grupo 5 specializes in mental health, neurorehabilitation, social emergency services, intellectual disabilities, and child protection. It operates more than 150 centers across 15 regions in Spain and serves over 5,000 people daily.

Nicolas Porcheron, Head of Healthcare Investments at ATLAND, stated: “Spain is the country where healthcare needs have increased the most in recent years. We are delighted to support Grupo 5, a well-established private operator in Spain. This first transaction illustrates our investment strategy as a long-term partner alongside leading operators. We continue to actively seek opportunities across Europe to deploy our strategy in the healthcare sector.”.

According to Philippe Morin, Managing Director of Clariane Spain: “For Clariane, it is important to have partners and allies who believe in our project, who enable us to continue developing our activities and to provide greater care to vulnerable individuals while also creating jobs.”.
