Medical research
In 2021, ATLAND signed an agreement with the Foundation to support its initiatives.

The Philippe Chatrier Foundation, hosted by the Fondation de France, has been supporting research projects against Alzheimer’s disease since 2000. Since its creation, the Foundation has funded research primarily through proceeds from a major sporting and charitable event: the Philippe Chatrier Golf Trophy, held annually. It also receives support from the French Tennis Federation. Generous donors—both individuals and companies—also contribute financially through direct donations to the Philippe Chatrier Foundation.
Today, the Foundation’s support mainly takes the form of mobility grants for young researchers. It is committed to funding research projects not only on treatments but also on the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease: for new treatments to be effective, they must be administered at the earliest stages of the illness.
Alzheimer’s disease is a brain disorder.
It is characterized by the progressive death of brain nerve cells, leading to the loss of mental functions and, after a pre-dementia stage, to a state of dementia.
